• School groups receive 1 complimentary chaperone ticket with every 10 tickets purchased. For orders of 100 students or more, additional teachers/chaperones will be charged the student ticket price. For orders under 100 students, additional teachers/chaperones will be charged the standard adult rate.
• Non-school groups of 20 or more receive 1 complimentary ticket with every 20 purchased.

• The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is committed to serving as an extension of classroom and formal learning. As such, all school and organized groups are welcome to visit the King Tut exhibition and the MFAH galleries.

Plan Your Visit

Admission to Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs requires a timed-entry ticket, with entrance to the exhibition taking place every 30 minutes during the times below.  For planning purposes, school groups may visit anytime but the vast majority of school groups visit the museum from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  If a group has a 9:30 a.m. King Tut ticket, they may visit the exhibit at that time, but the general museum exhibits do not open until 10 a.m. Monday- Friday.  

Monday –Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
(King Tut exhibit opens at 9:30 a.m.; closes at 5:00 p.m.)

Thursday – Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
(King Tut exhibit opens at 9:30 a.m.; closes at 9:00 p.m.)

Sunday: 12:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
(King Tut exhibit opens at 12:15 p.m.; closes at 7:00 p.m.)
